Beaches

Let us guide you along the crystalline beaches in Santorini!

Deep blue waters; white, red and black sand; vertical cliffs; red and black volcanic pebbles and spectacular rock formations…Some people like them, some don’t… But all of them admit: the beaches of Santorini are the strangest, the oddest they have ever seen!

Some of the best beaches in Santorini are:

Red beach

Pebbled, Organised

Red beach is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in Santorini. It has black and red volcanic pebbles and hot water.

White beach

Pebbled, Secluded, Nudism Friendly

The cove right next to the Red beach is known as the White beach. It is very similar to the Red beach, with black pebbles on the shore, only that the surrounding cliffs are white.

Kamari beach

Diving Club, Partly Organized, Sandy, Family Friendly, Water sports

The beach resort of Kamari is situated on the southern part of Santorini, right next to Perissa, with the enormous rock called Mesa Vouno between them.

Perissa beach

Diving Club, Partly Organized, Family Friendly, Pebbled, Water sports

Perissa is a tourist resort that gets very crowded in summer. An impressive and organized beach, Perissa has black sand on its shore. The remains of Ancient Thera are close by.

Perivolos beach

Partly Organized, Sandy, Family Friendly, Water sports

Perivolos is the longest black sand of Santorini. This is an organized tourist resort with many hotels, taverns and beach bars.

Agios Georgios beach

Partly Organized, Sandy, Water sports

Agios Georgios is a popular beach, just 3 km from Perissa, on the southern part of Santorini. With black pebbles and organized, Agios Georgios is one of the most tourism-friendly beaches on Santorini.

Vlychada beach

Partly Organized, Sandy, Nudism Friendly

Vlychada is a nice, organized beach on the southern side of Santorini. It has a small port where fishing boats and yachts moor in summer.

Cape Columbo beach

Pebbled, Secluded, Non Organised, Nudism Friendly

Cape Columbo is one of the most isolate and quiet beaches in Santorini. Surrounded by a wild landscape, Cape Columbo often gets windy. In fact, it is the wind and the waves that have formated the wild rocks of Columbo.

Vourvoulos beach

Pebbled, Secluded, Non Organised

Vourvoulos is a beautiful beach but the strong wind that blows frequently makes it uncomfortable for swimming. Sometimes, waves can be really huge.

Monolithos beach

Pebbled, Secluded, Non Organised, Nudism Friendly

Monolithos is one of the most family-oriented beaches in Santorini. The beautiful coast has a playground and a beach volley court, while it is surrounded by few hotels.

Caldera beach

Partly Organized, Secluded, Pebbled

Caldera beach is a small sandy beach located on the north of Akrotiri

Mesa Pigadia Beach

Partly Organized, Sandy, Pebbled

Mesa Pigadia is an isolated beach near the village of Akrotiri
